Global Leaders Group on AMR Reception during the 76th World Health Assembly: The Road to the UNGA High-level Meeting on AMR in 2024
In advance of the UN General Assembly high-level meeting on AMR in 2024, the GLG will host a reception during the 76th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva to engage ministers of health and other high-level government officials on the global response to AMR.
AMR contributes to almost 5 million deaths annually, most of which are in low- and middle-income countries. It poses serious threats to human, animal, plant and environmental health, food safety, food security, and pandemic prevention preparedness and response.
