Ms Beatrice Atim Odwong Anywar (Mama Mabira), is the Minister of State for Environment in Uganda. She served as a Member of Parliament in the Parliament of Uganda from 2006 to May, 2021. She also served as the shadow minister for Environment from 2006-2012 and in 2013, she was appointed shadow Minister of Energy and Mineral Development. She has also served as vice chair for the Gender, Labor and Social Development Committee of Parliament and vice chair of the Climate Change Committee of parliament whose creations she spearheaded. Ms Anywar Odwong, is also currently serving as a Council Member of the Makerere University Business School.
Ms Atim Odwong Anywar holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Management from Makerere University, Uganda. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management from the Islamic University in Uganda, and a Higher Diploma in Marketing from Makerere University Business School, Uganda.
